Oliver (a friend from Canada who now lives in Hong Kong) visited me
for a while in Kyoto. This is a picture of us at my favourite bar in
Kyoto. The bar is hidden down some small alleyways and looks like a log
cabin. The prices are cheap (by Japanese standards), but my favourite
part was that it was very cozy with only a few tables. That meant that
it was very easy for me to strike up conversations with people and meet
people and practice my Japanese.
