This is Hitomi petting the famous Dijon Owl (chouette in French).
The owl (barely recognizable after years of being petted) is said
to grant happiness and wisdom to those who pet it. It is a little
hard to spot, and we probably would have walked right by if we hadn't
noticed others petting it.
