Tanoki Crossing

This is a sign warning that there may be "tanoki" crossing the road.
A tanoki is a Japanese animal that looks somewhat like a raccoon,
although I have never seen a real one. It is very common to see a
statue of a "tanoki" in a Japanese inn or restaurant.
