Squirrel

Squirrels had been causing problems for us (such as stealing tomatoes off
our balcony), so I started trapping them which worked suprisingly well.
One day, I didn't have time to drive the squirrel to some distant forest,
and kept the squirrel in the cage overnight. The squirrel rubbed a spot raw
on its nose as it tried to escape, and the next day I drove the squirrel about
15 minutes away by car. I was surprised when about a week later, the same
squirrel showed up again at our bird feeder. I thought the squirrel would
never go near the trap after the trauma of the previous incident, but I
over-estimated their intelligence. Within a few hours of putting the trap
back out, the squirrel was caught once again. This time, I made sure I
dropped him off a long ways away, and he hasn't been back since.
