Praying

This is in front of the shrine with crowds of people praying. Normally
you can walk right up the stairs that you see to the left, and at the top
of the stairs is a small box that you throw your coins into. However, to
deal with the large crowds, for New Year's celebrations, the whole front
area is blocked off, and people just throw their coins inside. When it gets
very busy, people don't even try to get right to the front, and they
throw their coins from a long way back.
