Hitomi didn't want to go outside, but I really wanted to go for a walk.
I headed to a nearby park to enjoy the fresh air, snow, and lack of
people. New Year's day is a very special family day in Japan, so almost
everyone was at home with their family (kind of like Christmas Day in the
west). Since Hitomi's family was coming over later, I snuck out in the morning
for a quick walk.
