When Karuna was less than five months, if she was well fed and not too
tired, she was mostly happy. She didn't need much entertaining. Starting
at her fifth month, Karuna demanded entertainment but wasn't very good
at playing by herself. Now Karuna is very mobile and amuses herself with
her various toys, so the time seemed right to buy her a "cage". If we
place her inside these walls with her toys, she can entertain herself
long enough for Mom and Dad to cook or eat dinner which is a welcome
change. Without the walls, we can't leave Karuna alone for more than
a minute or two, because by that time she will be across the room
and chewing on something that she shouldn't be.
