One morning while sitting at home and working, I heard a large crash.
Hitomi was out and Karuna was sleeping, so my first reaction was that
Karuna had woken up and somehow knocked something over. However, she
was sound asleep. I heard a bunch of blue jays making a racket, and I
figured they must have been chasing a cat or something, so I moved in
the direction of the noise. The blue jays were on the railing of one
of our decks, and when I looked at what they were upset about, I saw
an unconscious owl.
